This is still my all-time favourite tune, I video taped it off rage and watched it so many times. I still love it to this day and that’s rare cause I usually overplay stuff so much I get bored. It’s on all of my playlists. It inspires me musically just how you can have a real simple song with simple lyrics that can mean so much to so many people, it’s rare for music to do that for many generations. I guess it has some nostalgia attached to it and I always try to bring that feeling into my music.

Discovered this tune ages ago playing thrasher skate and destroy on Playstation 1 and it got me so hooked on hip hop & rap. I used to listen to it and imagine I was on tour playing to thousands of people. Actually it changed my whole drumming style too, I used to drum to rock music and after hearing those tasty hip hop beats I changed my style completely, all those intricate notes and the grooves changed my life.

This song & this whole Daft Punk album changed a lot of lives, but for me it marks an era in music that defined many artists and DJ's. We DJ'd this song the other night and as proof to how much it means to people everyone was singing along & there were some tears out there for sure.

Wow, it doesn’t even feel that long ago but this has become the most classic genre defining chill wave song of all time. Before this came out I was making disco tunes and had never heard anything like this slowed down dreamy thing. It changed the Polographia sound for sure.

This is one of the best songs from one of the all time polo inspo albums. I’m pretty sure we both had a Toro track on every mix CD for those car trips to the north coast to DJ at friends parties. It really took us to a great place musically. After hearing this we were so inspired that we put our first EP Sunsets together, going for that chillwave/summer sound Toro had. It was a big change from the noise rock band we were in at the time, haha
