Washed Out
Washed Out aka Ernest Greene has released his first new music in four years, with a new single and video for “Get Lost” out now on Pod via Inertia Music.
The unique video for “Get Lost”, directed by Harvey Benschoter, is a colourful animated story using solely magazine cut outs to set the scene in sunny, lavish LA.
Greene’s previously released stand out albums include 2011’s Within and Without which Pitchfork named Best New Music and Paracosm (2013) and both albums were produced with Animal Collective’s Ben Allen. Washed Out's deliciously woozy synth track, “Feel It All Around” was also the theme song for eccentric indie comedy series, Portlandia starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein of alt-rock group, Sleater-Kinney.
The super lush track “Get Lost” is the first taste of new music from Washed Out, released through iconic hip-hop label Stones Throw for rest of the world and directly licenced by Ernest to Pod/Inertia Music label for Australia and New Zealand.
